Since 2003 we have been building up a database of active ingredients, profiling known compounds primarily for antimicrobial potency.

Covering four main application areas (skin care, oral care, body odour and hair care) we now hold data on over 3,200 compounds and have profiled compounds against nine different important healthcare microorganisms in a series of 17 standardised assays. This rich resource of information allows us to select compounds based on your active ingredient requirements.

We can introduce you to novel active ingredients which fulfil your R&D specifications by conducting bespoke searches of our database. For example, you may be interested in natural ingredients known to be safe for use on skin and active against the spot -causing bacteria Propionibacterium acnes. We can provide you with a list of the most likely candidates, saving you development time and increasing the chance of product efficacy.

Our extensive databank also allows us to offer a benchmarking service. We can determine how your own ingredient performs in comparison to thousands of other compounds.
