Microbiology
With unrivalled knowledge of skin microbiology, our studies are detailed and robust.Since 2003, we have built up a database of active ingredients, profiling known compounds primarily for antimicrobial potency.
Covering five main application areas (skin care, oral care, hygiene, body odour and hair care) we have now generated proprietary data on over 3200 compounds and have profiled compounds to varying degrees against nine different important healthcare microorganisms in a series of 17 standardised assays. This rich resource of information allows us to select compounds based on the requirements of our customers or partners.
We can introduce you to novel active ingredients which fulfil your R&D specifications by conducting bespoke searches of our database. For example, you may be interested in natural ingredients known to be safe for use on skin and active against the spot-causing bacteria Propionibacterium acnes. We can provide you with a list of the most likely candidates, saving you development time and increasing the chance of product efficacy.
